Real Estate in Phoenix, Arizona has become very popular, and here are a few reasons why:

1. The Phoenix, Arizona Metro area has a population of more than three million residents.

2. It is one of the fastest growing regions of the United States and one of the 12 largest metro areas.

3. The Phoenix/Mesa area experienced the housing boom, bubble and bust just as badly as any other area. During the middle portion of the decade home prices in Phoenix increased faster than almost any other area nationally. From 2007-2010, home values in Phoenix plummeted, and many homes are now selling for half of their cost at the height of the housing boom. With all the extremes in real estate value, the Phoenix area has been among the worst nationally for foreclosures, and a huge percentage of homes being sold are short sales.
